Lamps

Until recently, I didn't realize I had a fascination for lamps and light, but it turns out I do! There is a certain appeal to the construction and mechanics of making a light source. Is its purpose simply to add light to help find your way, or is there something more to it? Perhaps even light worship. Shouldn't there be some craft and Idealistic concept devoted to devices we depend on? What if you suddenly realized you worshiped light and didn't even know it?

Maybe a shrine is in order?

The Lion's Lamp

The body is a wooden box in the shape of a book with a sculpted lion's head attached placed on a tile atop a cherry stained base. Inside the box is a dimmer attached to the knob below the lion so that you may adjust the light to whatever setting is necessary.
